Liberal MP for Sydney-Victoria Jaime Battiste sat down with me for an extended interview about his exploratory process to make a run to head the Liberal Party. He has to raise $350,000 to qualify, but he is going to try.
Jaime is a Mi’kmaw member of Potlotek First Nation (formerly Chapel Island) and has lived most of his life at Eskasoni First Nation in Cape Breton. He has been a Liberal MP since 2019 having won two elections. He sat down with me to answer a variety of questions, including a few tough ones.
The video version of this podcast will also be made available on my Pam Palmater YouTube channel. I would love to hear your views on Jaime’s run and some of the answers to my questions.
